Propane Tank Disposal

 BLEVE 2.JPG (54743 bytes)

Old, rusted, or leaking propane tanks are no longer being filled by responsible propane companies. But what does a homeowner do with a old tank? Fairfield Fire Rescue has a program where residents of the town may drop off old 20 pound propane tanks for disposal free of charge. Formally known as propane tank disposal day, this service has been expanded to everyday of the year. Just bring the tank to the Joseph Elias Fire Training Center located at 205 One Rod Highway, Fairfield, CT and leave it at the designated area. Tanks will be legally disposed of preventing accidents in the home.

For Other Chemical disposal, please come to our HAZWaste Cleanup Day.
