The Joseph Elias Fire Training Center

A dual usage fire training facility located in Fairfield, CT. The Fairfield Regional Fire School is the training base of the  Fairfield Fire Department and also serves as a regional fire training school . The F.R.F.S. is host to a number of Connecticut Fire Academy certification classes as well as various courses in Firefighting, extinguishers, CPR, Hazardous Materials and Technical Rescue.

Many towns do not have a fire school and are forced to travel to meet their training needs. The Insurance Services Organization (ISO) actually rewards residents and businesses of Fairfield for having this facility in town and available by offering a lower insurance premiums. The Town of Fairfield and the Fairfield Firefighters are lucky to have a facility located in town which saves both time and money by reduced travel times for training and allows firefighters to always be in town ready for an emergency.
