Legislative Update - Please Support!!! Proposed H.B. No. 6195 REP. PAWELKIEWICZ, 49th DIST. 'AN ACT AUTHORIZING BONDS OF THE STATE FOR THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FOR THE REGIONAL FIRESCHOOLS', to authorize bonds for capital improvement of regional fire schools under the five year regional fire school improvement plan. REF. PUBLIC SAFETY AND SECURITY This bill will continue the funding started in 2004 of the five year Capital Replacement Program for the Connecticut Regional Fire Schools. There are 8 regional schools which are included in the Capital plan. The Regional Training Directors meet monthly as members of the Connecticut State Firefighters Association Educational Committee, and have developed this plan. The Fairfield School is currently scheduled for year 4 and we support the program priorities. Please contact your legislators and urge them to support this bill and help us to continue and improve the delivery of training locally.
